Christmas Time!

So...
Two meals plus endless snacking.
I have to tell you, I was a bit worried.
My favorite snacks during Christmas time include, but are not limited to:
Crab Cakes, Sausage Balls, Chocolate Chip Cookies and now Stuffed Mushrooms.


(Yeah, I made those)
I tried not to over indulge and when all was said and done I didn't gain a pound.
The trick was not just piling my plate and eating it all.
I simply replaced the regular food on my plate with the snacky crap* food I love so much.
Just to make sure I also walked my ass off the next day with Amber.
*The food is not crap in taste, just crap as far as being healthy. I LOVE THAT SHIT!

How I Work Out...

I have hated to exert anymore energy then is necessary since I was a teen.
When I turn 60, I had planned on being in a motorized wheelchair.
I hate to say it; but things, they are a changing...

Since I have been dropping pounds (over 30 so far), I like going for a brisk walk through the woods and don't mind the occasional work out.

Amber has always been about working out, so the majority of the work out library consists of:

Chris Freytag has helped me not only burn a lot of excess fat, but made me a more confident woman. Also, my kegel exercises have really strengthened my...
Anyway.

We also take nice long walks through the wood in the park near our house.
No matter what the temperature is, I drip with sweat.

I never thought I would enjoy exercising, but I do and I have Amber to thank for kicking my ass into shape.

Hard Boiled

I have started eating a hardboiled egg at night and it helps.


Apparently eating one egg before bed will speed up your metabolism at night and help you lose weight with no effort.
It works. Do it!
The only side effect is eggy morning breath.

I Survived Thanksgiving!

Good God it's been a while.
Thanksgiving came and went and I thought I would gain all the weight back.
Since the last time I wrote, I've lost a bit more.
Right now I am at 220lbs.That's 25lbs. dropped so far and I feel great!
I will say it is awesome not getting winded after three stairs, which would happen.
Recently I moved to a two story and if I hadn't been in shape, these stairs would be kicking my ass.

Anyway, Thanksgiving ROCKED and I ate a ton, but didn't overeat.
The next day I made sure to take it easy and I'm back on track.
Thanks again to my Mama for a lovely dinner.

It's not a scab...

Pork Rinds are one of the lowest fat snack to eat.
If you can get past the fact that it's just pig skin fried off, they are quite tasty.

234 pounds.

I've gone down a little more in weight.
I'm still walking and watching what I eat.
The hardest part is not eating that ever-so-tasty fast food.
Oh well, it's a fair trade for health and not falling over dead one day.

This is what 235 pound looks like.
It's hard to imagine, but this is better than I have looked in quite a while.
I am down by about 10 pounds and, contrary to my face in the picture, I feel great.
More pictures will be coming and hopefully the weight will be dropping off.

Update.

I'm feeling better and better everyday.
It seems that I can do most things without feeling like I am about to die.
We've been walking everyday and, besides being tired from work, I haven't felt lethargic afterward like I used to.
Also this week, I got some stuff to fix my old bike up and am planning on taking a little ride this weekend.
What an exciting time!
I still hate salad...

Something Unheard Of...

I brought my lunch to work today...
It's quite the accomplishment, believe me.
Last night I got a wild hair up my ass and made not only egg salad, but tuna salad as well.


I think I might be turning over a new leaf, but we will see what the week brings.

Hot Walk




On our evening walk, I sweated more than any regular human being does.
Amber returned totally dry, Taylor was a little hot and Emaline summed it all up when she sat down in mid-step.
We did see a man with two parrots and talked with him for bit.
It was like walking through a neighborhood from PBS Kids if muppets lived on the sun.

Time was I would eat about eight or ten Tums a day, more probably.
Ever since I have been watching what I eat and cutting down on Cokes, I haven't needed many at all.
The only time now, really, is when I have spicy food at night.
I don't mind the taste of Tums, but I'm glad it's reign over my stomach has come to an end.

Another Week Down.

Just finished another week for the books.
I've been feeling great, better than I have in a while actually.
Eating right has been easier than I thought, it's getting past the laziness of the fat life I've been living.
I'm doing it though and I look forward to the future.

What an Ass!

Sorry I haven't been updating my blog.
It doesn't mean that I haven't still been keeping up, it just means I'm lazy.
Right now I'm up to about 7 pounds lost and I feel great.
I'm gonna try to write more about the experience and where I am at than the food.
It was just getting boring.
Maybe one of those shirtless fat guy pictures is in order...
We will see.

Day 10: Lunch

I made a sandwhich for breakfast and in my half-awake stuper, forgot the picture.
It almost happened again with lunch.
I gotta be more careful.



Day 9: Dinner

There is nothing better or unhealthier than a Chinese buffet.


I was good though, the only thing fried was the shrimp and I only had two.
Also, I only had one serving, which was very hard to do.

I been drinking Instant Breakfast in the mornings, but eating at lunch.
When Subway looks like this, it's no wonder Jared lost weight.

I made some of my enchilladas for dinner tonight.
Instead of chicken and corn tortillas I used turkey and white corn tortillas.

Sweet Tomatoes got me there.

It was a repeat of last night, Turkey burgers again, but no cheese in the middle this time to ruin it. Plus I had two pickles okra.


I did have a regular straight up high frutose coke and it was wonderful.

Taco Cabana! Holy shit, it was nice to eat crap food, even if it is on the more non-crap variety.

On the weekends I tend to overindulge, but on the weekends I work...
I missed lunch but made turkey burgers for dinner.


Accompanied by a Boyland's, how could you go wrong.
Oh that's right, if you attempt something like putting the cheese in the middle which only drys the meat out and cooks out anyway.
Oh well, you live and learn.

I cooked me up some scrambled eggs this morning.
Yes Suri (Cruise), they were deeeelish!

Had me some of that thar O.J. as well.
Real tasty.

It was a good day!
I'm pretty sure that I had no High Frutose Corn Syrup.
This evening, I did eat 5 Peanut Butter M&M's, but who's judging... WHO?
The weekend is always the hardest time for me.
It's so easy to just go eat shit, but I mustn't.
Just like quitting smoking; if you slip a little, you're all the way back in.

I made chicken parmesan from scratch.
Not completely, I mean I didn't make the noodles. However I did all the work on the chicken and I opened the jar of sauce all by myself.

I got to come home for lunch today and decided it was about time for some good ol' fashion tuna salad.
One egg, mayo, mustard, tuna and a small pickle.

I'm still trying to get rid of the egg stink still, so none for me today.

The lack of sugar and caffine have taken their toll on me.

Out of a mix of excitement and starvation, I dug in before I could take a picture.

You may not be able to drink the water, but the Coke is just dandy!
For some reason Americans are not allowed to have Coke made without High Fructose Corn Syrup, the only way is to pay the imported price.
It's a mystery to me as to why, but that's how it is.

1900 calories... More than I'm 'supposed' to have, but still less than I used to take in.
Getting rid of all the daily snacks and the second dinner helps, I'm sure.
Tomorrow is another day, we will see what the morning brings.

My cousin, Mimsy, was in town so my sister-in-law offered up some delicious spaghetti, side salad and Mom's garlic bread.

It took some hard core willpower but I made it through another day.

I got to have a lunch date today, which was a lovely surprise.

I didn't eat the chips and could only eat half the sandwich.
But I am stuffed.

Had a well balanced meal this morning, now that I know what that means...
All this time I was eating while standing on a 2x4. Who knew, I was wrong.

I feel full and it seems this'll last me until lunch.
Now I am fighting the urge to smoke and would kill for a Coke, not a soda or a pop but a COKE!

Fans-
I hit about 1300 calories today, including drinks.
No shitty snacks that I love so much today, just the food I am 'supposed' to eat.
This is a huge accomplishment considering the estimated 4000+ calories* I usually take in.
I feel good about this and hope I can keep it up.

If I wanted that much fat and calories I would have ordered double cheese.

Loyal Fans-
During high school I was bulimic, I didn't know this at the time... Rather, I did not know that others were on to this brilliant plan.
That's right, I thought I had invented bulimia.
I stopped, but now I am fat (obese actually, according to doctors) and ordinarily I would shake it off as their own opinion, however I get winded going up three stairs, so I have to take what they say seriously.
And now that I know that bulimia is an eating disorder, it would be quite ridiculous for me to vomit on a daily/hourly basis... Right?
I guess so, therefore I have decided to take on the daunting task of losing weight the old fashion way, har... har... hard work.
It sounds terrible, but what choice do I have... Death? No, that won't work... Then who would you admire and love? Chris? I think not.
Hard work it is then. Dammit!
Now then; I don't expect anyone to follow this blog, it is mainly for myself but I can guarantee it will be good for a laugh and hopefully you can follow along as your favorite celebrity wastes away.
